Police name motorcyclist killed in crash

Police have named the motorcyclist killed in a collision with a campervan yesterday between Raetahi and Wanganui.

He was 49-year-old Ian Andrew Clark from Wanganui.

Mr Clark was riding towards Wanganui on State Highway 4 about 3pm when he lost control on a corner near Ruakawa Falls, Central District communications manager Kim Perks said.

He was thrown from his bike, collided with the oncoming campervan, and died at the scene.

Police were continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash, Ms Perks said.
