Police have released the name of a motorcyclist who was killed when he failed to take a bend and crashed into a concrete fence post near Ashburton on Saturday.
Robert Keith Hayward, 29, a Briton, had been living in Ashburton.
Police said Mr Hayward's motorcycle slid from beneathhim about 3pm on Saturday after he failed to take a bend at Wakanui, about 8km south of Ashburton.
