Police have released the name of a man whose body was found in rural Northland on Monday.
Police launched a homicide inquiry after the body of Stephen Patrick Rundlett, 38, was found at a house in Mangapai, 30km south of Whangarei.
Rota John Kohi Ranapia, 30, has been
charged with Mr Rundlett's murder.
Ranapia appeared in the Whangarei District Court on Monday and entered no plea. He was remanded in custody and will reappear on September 15
