Police name fatal Darfield accident victim

A motorbike and tractor have crashed near Darfield.

Police have identified the motorcycle rider who died in a fatal accident in Canterbury as Hamish John Dysart, 45, from Darfield.

The pillion passenger remains in a serious but stable condition in Christchurch Hospital.

The motorcycle the pair, thought to be a couple, were riding collided with a tractor.

The accident happened on Creyke Rd in Darfield around 8pm on Friday.
