Police have named 62-year-old Kusum Rohit Kenia as the person who died in a Central Otago crash yesterday.
Kenia, from Mumbai, India, lost her life in a serious motor vehicle accident yesterday on State Highway 6, 10km outside of Luggate in Central Otago.
There were six other occupants in the
vehicle and all were transported to hospital by helicopter and ambulance.
Two of the occupants have now been discharged from hospital with four remaining at Dunedin Hospital in serious but stable conditions.
The serious crash unit continues to investigate to determine the cause of the incident.
