Police investigating spate of suspicious fires in Hawke's Bay

Three vehicles found on fire this morning are the latest in a spate in the Hawke's Bay.

The most recent happened between midnight and 3am on Saturday, where three vehicles were discovered on fire in Flaxmere.

Police said two were discovered on Margate Ave, and a third on Diaz Dr, and they had been severely damaged.

Various vehicle fires had been reported to police over the past month in the same area and it was possible the fires were linked, police said.

Police want to hear from anyone who has information or may have witnessed anything suspicious in Flaxmere.
