Police investigate kidnapping

Rotorua police are investigating a kidnapping after an injured 28-year-old man walked into a service station on Sunday morning and sought help.

The man had escaped from the boot of a vehicle parked at an industrial garage near the BP at Koutu Corner, police said. He had been bound and appeared to have been assaulted for several hours.
