Police investigate home invasion in Porirua

Police are investigating a home invasion in Porirua.

A 19-year-old resident was attacked in his house on Bedford St in Cannons Creek by two people early this morning.

He was forced to the ground with tape wrapped over his face, arms and legs. Police say the man fought back and suffered injuries.

The victim had several hundred dollars stolen.

Police urge anyone with information to come forward.
