Police identify crash cyclist

Police have identified a seriously injured cyclist who was involved in a Wanganui road crash last night.

The crash was about 11.25pm, when a red Mazda Eunos and the cyclist collided when travelling in the same direction on Jones Street, outside Wanganui Girls' College.

The cyclist was taken to Wanganui Hospital with serious injuries, and today was transferred to Wellington Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Police are now trying to find his family and want to hear from anyone who saw the Mazda before the collision, or saw the crash.
