Save Police are investigating an assault in an older woman's home in Tokoroa in the early hours of this morning.
Police are investigating an incident in Tokoroa in which an older woman was assaulted in her home.
Fairfax reported that the woman was at her St Andrews Dr home in Tokoroa when she was attacked, possibly with a weapon, around 2am this morning.
Senior Sergeant Bill Fisher, of the Bay
of Plenty District Command Centre, told Fairfax police are now looking for the man who assaulted the woman.
The woman reportedly received injuries to her hands and an ambulance was called.
Fisher did not confirm to Fairfax whether a weapon was involved or if there was anyone else in the house.
