Police hunt driver who crashed stolen car

Police are hunting for a man who crashed a stolen car, left his passenger with the police and then took off again.

Inspector Barry Smalley, from the Northern Communications Centre, said police started chasing the stolen car after it went speeding past them about 5.20pm yesterday.

It was chased around Henderson. Police then lost sight of it before it crashed into a car in Corban Ave.

Police arrested the passenger, but the driver took off and dumped the stolen car in Hulme Pl.
