Police hunt armed robbers

Two men are on the run after holding up an Albany bar at gunpoint last night

A person was injured when two masked gunmen held up an Auckland bar late last night.

North Shore police are hunting two men who robbed the busy Vinos Bar in Albany bar just after midnight.

The two men, armed with firearms and their faces obscured by masks, entered the William Pickering Drive bar and threatened customers and staff.

Police say staff and up to 30 customers were in the bar at the time. At least one person was assaulted before the pair fled in a maroon car.

Ambulance staff treated that person for minor injuries.

Police say it is not known if anything was stolen.
