A police helicopter has been circling a Christchurch suburb as officers search for several people believed to have stolen a vehicle.
Police said they were making “a number of inquiries” to find people of interest in relation to ongoing investigations this afternoon.
Senior Sergeant Mike Jackson said the helicopter wasused to assist ground units tracking those involved in the Riccarton area.
It is understood at least one vehicle had been stolen.
