Police say three central Auckland bars served alcohol to an underage girl and eight motorists were caught drink-driving around the time the Rugby World Cup quarter-final played on Sunday morning.
As the All Blacks took on France, police visited bars and conducted drink-driving checkpoints across the country.
In Auckland City, road policing manager Inspector Andy King said police tested 522 drivers at four checkpoints - of which 32 failed the initial test.
Of those 32 drivers, eight failed further screening tests and are facing charges for drink-driving.
As well as drink-drivers, officers also visited establishments hosting morning RWC celebrations that served alcohol during games under new legislation.
Youth and communities manager Inspector Mark Benefield said a 15-year-old girl was served alcohol at three central city bars on Sunday morning.
"We visited nine bars and three failed. They sold to a 15-year-old girl and we are very disappointed that they have done so and that they don't have the processes in place to ensure [minors are not served]."
The teen was not asked for identification when ordering drinks, he said.
