Police cordon off street after reports of assault in Invercargill

A person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following an alleged assault in Invercargill.

Janet St has been cordoned off by police after being called to the Strathern address at 5pm.

A police spokeswoman had no further details about the incident, and couldn't confirm reports a man had been stabbed.
