Police car damaged at Hamilton party

A patrol car was damaged last night by Hamilton party goers who threw bottles at police.

Police were called to a party in Willoughby Street around 10.45pm on Saturday after reports of disorder in the street outside.

Senior Sergeant Greg Willis said when police patrols arrived several bottles were thrown at the patrol cars, damaging the window of one of the vehicles.

Senior Sergeant Willis said the party was closed down after the incident and the party goers dispersed.

No one was injured.
