Police arrest three men, seek fourth after rape

Police have arrested three men in connection with a "vicious rape' in the Wellington suburb of Petone, and are urgently seeking a fourth man.

Police are looking for Kereti Te Huna after the rape of an 18-year-old woman, which occurred on March 7 in a Housing New Zealand complex on Jackson Street.

Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Levy said Te Huna was known to live in the area, and anyone who knew where he was should contact the Lower Hutt police urgently on (04) 560 2600.

Residents at the Jackson Street complex should also call the police if they had information about the rape.

Mr Levy said police were continuing their investigation wouldn't make any further comments at this stage.
