Twenty people have been arrested following an operation targeting crimes including burglary and theft.
The burglaries included four at the Kaitaia RSA where the offenders targeted alcohol.
The offenders are aged between 15 and 33.
Officer in charge of the operation, Senior Constable Steve Robinson, said a small group ofoffenders were causing grief for the small Far North community and needed to be stopped.
"The community and police will not tolerate this level of criminal behaviour and we will continue to target these offenders and make sure they are also adhering to their bail conditions."
Police relied on the community to help catch the offenders and would still like to hear from anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the Kaitaia area, Mr Robinson said.
