Police are advising people to stay away from an intersection Mangere East after a car brought down a power pole shortly before 8.30am.
A car hit a power pole on the corner of Cramond Dr and Skipton St, a police spokeswoman said.
No one was seriously injured in the crash
but live wires were on the ground.
Power company Vector has been called in.
