Save A group of rag tag pirates have interrupted Jacinda Ardern's tour of New Plymouth.
Around 50 people dressed in full pirate costumes marched on to Puke Ariki Landing while the Labour leader was addressing supporters.
The crew's captain, Morris West, presented Jacinda Ardern with a piñata briefcase and raised his
concerns.
"When you become Prime Minister there'll be no room for pirates anymore, what have you got to help us pirates?"
The two shared a laugh and hugged before the pirate captain invited Arden to the pub for a rum.
