A pilot has escaped a light aircraft crash in Western Southland this afternoon.
A plane spreading fertiliser crashed just before 1pm, on a property near Mt Linton Rd, near Ohai.
The pilot of the plane called in the crash, and was being treated by paramedics at the scene, with firefightersand police also in attendance, Senior Sergeant Craig Brown, of Dunedin, said.
