Tonight is the final oppportunity to visit Auckland's Lantern Festival.

The festival marks the end of the 15-day Chinese New Year celebrations, and for thousands of Chinese Aucklanders, it has become very much a part of how they celebrate their New Year here.

It began on Friday but was called off on Saturday night.

Hundreds of lanterns will be on display in Albert Park until the event ends at 10.30 tonight.
