With a bottle of bubbly set aside should the lucky winner arrive to cash it in, Mr Spence said it was "a coin toss" when it came to people heading for the outlet they bought a major winning ticket from to get it cashed.
"Many will go straight to Auckland as they want to keep it quiet, while some only find out when they go back the next week to get a ticket and get the old ones checked while they're there."
He carries a simple philosophy when it comes to whoever is clutching the ticket with the magical six numbers all lined up.
"We hope the lucky winner is one of our regular players and wish them lots of enjoyment and pleasure from their winnings."
Saturday's second winning ticket was sold at Woody's Winners in Wellsford, North Auckland.
Powerball was not struck and has jackpotted to $9 million. Strike Four was also not struck and it sits at $500,000.
