The man facing charges over a Papakura petrol station bomb scare has appeared in court today.
Police say Gregory Nigro sparked a five-hour stand off with them, closing down Papakura's central business district two weeks ago.
The 52-year-old entered no plea.
He is charged with criminal nuisance, disorderly behaviour, causing
loss by deception, threats of harm and reckless disregard for the safety of others.
Nigro has been remanded in custody until February 24 pending a psychiatric report.
