Person swept to sea in Whanganui

A person has been swept out to sea at a Whanganui beach.

A search has been launched after the person was reported missing from Castlecliff at 4pm today, police said.

It is the second serious incident on the water today, after a 3-year-old boy died at Ocean Beach in Hawkes Bay.
