One person has died after a two-car crash in Waimate earlier this evening, police say.
Police are still at the scene of the crash, which happened on Waimate Highway (SH1), at Morven around 7.30pm.
St John also attended the incident.
The crash happened at the intersection of Barnetts Rd and
SH1. Local diversions are in place.
No details about the deceased person will be released until next of kin have been informed, police said.
