Person critically injured in fire in Goodwood Heights, Manukau

A person has been critically injured in a fire in South Auckland this morning.

The incident involved “some sort of cooking fire” at a property in the suburb of Goodwood Heights, near Manukau, a police spokeswoman said.

St John Ambulance confirmed a person was taken to Middlemore Hospital in a critical condition.

Emergency services were alerted just after 11.30am.
