A worker has been seriously hurt in an accident at a Queenstown tortilla company.
Emergency services were called to the company on Industrial Place just before 5pm, senior fire service communicator Mau Barbara said.
A police spokeswoman said the worker got their arm caught in a machine.
Firefighters pulled the
person's arm free from a conveyor belt around 5.15pm, Barbara said.
The person was taken to Lakes District Hospital around 5.30pm today, a St John Ambulance spokesman told Fairfax.
