Six new partners have been appointed to the Auckland office of KPMG Legal. They are David Moore (commercial law), Sean Garelli (financial services), Greg Lee (mergers and acquisitions), Michael Roberton (financial services), Robert Enright (litigation) and Carmel Byrne (commercial law). firm in Wellington.

Dave Sherry has been appointed senior systems engineer with EMC Corporation. He has had 14 years in the IT industry and was working in contract project management. Richard Blincoe becomes senior customer service engineer after 10 years with Data General and Independent Community Newspapers.

Lynette Wong has become brand manager for Yates NZ plant protection products consumer and commercial divisions. She was acting marketing manager at Carter Holt Harvey Distributors. Deborah Allen has been promoted to brand manager, growing media and commercial fertilisers.

John Gibson is joining eMap Ltd, the digital offshoot of New Zealand Aerial Mapping Ltd, as CEO. He has held senior management positions with General Electric and Blue Star. Brooke Paton is general manager, business development. He has a background in IT, telecommunications and sales management with Clear, Telecom and Hewlett Packard.

The shipping manager of Milburn Cement Ltd, Ken Plowman, is joining Aoraki Corporation as general manager of its transport division. Mr Plowman has had 30 years in the shipping industry and was executive director of the Shipping Federation.

The managing director of J D Edwards Australia/New Zealand, Richard Matthews, is moving to London as senior vice-president international. Mr Mathews has been with the company in New Zealand for six years and previously worked in senior sales and financial positions with Cadbury Confectionery Ltd, and as a business consultant with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.
