Novartis has promoted Dr Carol Brockway to sales and marketing director for New Zealand. She was in an international management position with Novartis Pharma AG in Switzerland and has also worked for the company in the Middle East.

Brett Wilson is the new general manager of Messenger Services Ltd. He was national sales manager for New Zealand Couriers.

Two appointments have been made by the bio-medical company NeuronZ Ltd. Connie Parkinson, who was with Glaxo Wellcome and Zuellig Pharma, has become chief operating officer, while Dr Kathryn Jones becomes executive officer, compliance and intellectual property.

Glenn Boyd has become managing director of Primus, a subsidiary of automotive financier, Ford Credit. He has been with Ford in a variety of roles here and in Australia for 13 years.

Jody Stewart is Fletcher Challenge Building's new communications manager. She was chief adviser communications for the Ministry of Economic Development and has also been assistant director communications for Treasury. She is a former assistant public information officer with the Army and spent eight months with the New Zealand forces in Bosnia Herzegovina.

James Mollison has joined Europacific Foods Ltd as northern regional manager. He was with the British military and has also worked in Auckland with Willow Tree Products and South Island Distributors.

CommSoft Group Ltd has appointed David Boyes as chief technology officer. He has previously held senior positions with Hitachi Data Systems and the National Bank.

Andrew Bonner has become vice-president of Foster's International (NZ) Ltd. He has been in the liquor industry for 14 years and was general manager for Carlton Special Beverages in Australia.

Alan Chapman is joining Meadow Lea Foods as sales and marketing manager. He was a national sales manager with Goodman Fielder Milling and Baking and before that was national business account manager for Woolworths.
