Pedestrian struck by truck still critical

The pedestrian struck by a truck in Tauranga remains in a critical condition in hospital this morning.

A Waikato Hospital spokeswoman confirmed his condition was unchanged today.

The man was hit while on the Tauranga Harbour Bridge, on State Highway 2, just after 4:30am on Friday.

The man had been transported to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition.

However, late last night he was reported to be in the Intensive Care Unit in a critical condition.
