A pedestrian has been taken to hospital in critical condition after being hit by a car in Queen St in Auckland's CBD.
A St John spokeswoman said they were called to the incident shortly after 11.30pm.
The person was taken to Auckland City Hospital.
A police spokeswoman said the incident
happened near Darby St.
The serious crash unit attended and the road between Wellesley St and Victoria St was closed until 1.45am. The area was cordoned off to foot traffic as well.
