Pedestrian hit by car on roadside at teen party

A teenage boy was seriously injured after he was hit by a car outside a party in Auckland.

Emergency services were called to a residential property on Okura River Road, Okura, North Auckland, at 11.20pm Saturday.

The teenager was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

A fire service spokesman said an appliance was on site providing a lighting unit for police who were investigating.
