A pedestrian is in a critical condition after being hit by a car near a busy roundabout in Auckland.
The pedestrian was crossing Mt Albert Road near the Royal Oak roundabout with another person when the pair were hit by a car about 4pm.

A St John Ambulance spokesman said
both pedestrians were taken to Auckland City Hospital.
One person was in a critical condition and a second person was in a serious condition, he said.
