Pay settlement reached in bus dispute

Five days of industrial action ended in Hamilton last night with bus drivers and their employer, Go Bus, reaching a pay settlement.

Go Bus managing director Calum Haslop said the union had effectively agreed to an offer tabled a week ago.

Union secretary Karl Andersen said drivers had accepted a 5.6 per cent increase - well below the initial claim.
