Parties off hook on late returns, but no decision on NZ First

Four political parties are off the hook for filing late donation returns to the Electoral Commission but a decision is pending for New Zealand First.

ACT, Direct Democracy, the Libertarianz, and the Republic of New Zealand parties have all had their excuses for missing the April 30 deadline accepted.

However, no decision has yet been released regarding New Zealand First and its late return.

The Electoral Commission has met several times regarding the issue and whether or not the matter should be passed on to police.
