Save Part two of the Canterbury Earthquakes Royal Commission's hearing into unreinforced masonry buildings and earthquake-prone policies starts today.
Presentations will be made by councils, including Napier, Wellington, Auckland, Dunedin and Christchurch City Councils.
Local government New Zealand and the New Zealand Society for Earthquake Engineering will also make submissions.
This
part of the hearing is expected to end tomorrow evening.
The next hearing will begin on the 28th of November and focus on the PGC building, which collapsed, killing 18 people during February's earthquake.
