A paraglider has been injured in an accident near the Ben Lomond Track in Queenstown this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the area about 12.30pm.
St John said one person received minor injuries and had been taken to Lakes District Hospital for treatment.
A photographer on the ground, James
Allan, said two fire trucks and an ambulance were at the scene.
Fire staff used a gondola at nearby Skyline Queenstown to go up the hill towards trees where the paraglider had crashed, he said.
