Paraglider hits powerlines on Coronet Peak

A paraglider has crashed into powerlines on Coronet Peak this afternoon.
Police said the paraglider hit the powerlines about 4.03pm, 400m below the lower carpark at the Coronet Peak Ski Club.
The paraglider broke a leg, while the incident also caused a power outage, police said.
The Fire Service is
at the scene in a 4WD to locate the powerlines.
On September 29 last year two people were injured in a paragliding accident on the mountain.
