Pam's recalls 'glass contaminated' muesli

Food manufacturer Pam's today recalled its Natural Muesli cereal from supermarkets after glass was found in some packets.

The company issued the recall notice today on 750gm packets with a best before date of October 15, 2003.

The company said there had been no reports of injury because of glass contamination.

However, as a precaution the packets were withdrawn from all Pak 'N Save, New World, Four Square, Write Price and On The Spot supermarkets.

"This must not be consumed but other Pam's muesli products are safe for consumption," the recall notice said.

People who bought the recalled product should return it to the point of sale for a full refund.
