Pams Mini Hash Browns recalled over plastic risk at Pak’nSave, New World

A batch of Pams mini hash browns have been recalled as they may contain hard plastic, Foodstuffs Own Brands says.

A popular brand of hash browns sold at Pak’nSave, New World and Four Square has been recalled as the product may contain hard plastic.

Foodstuffs Own Brands announced the recall yesterday of Pams brand Mini Hash Browns.

The affected batch come in a 750g plastic bag and have a best before date of September 1, 2027.

“The product is sold at Four Square, New World and Pak’nSave supermarkets throughout New Zealand”, the recall notice said.

“Customers are asked to check the date mark on the product. Affected product should not be consumed ... [and] customers should return the product to their retailer for a full refund.”

There’d been no reports of associated injury, but if someone had consumed the product and had any concerns for their health they should seek medical advice.

The product was not sold overseas and no other Pams brand products were affected by the recall, the notice said.
