'P lab' neighbours unable to return home

Residents living next to a suspected P lab in Hamilton are still unable to return to their homes.

Police raided the Newcastle Road house on Thursday, and found highly toxic and flammable chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

A 49-year-old man appeared in the Hamilton District Court last week on drug charges.

A police spokesman said the house was still being examined by investigators, and neighbours should be able to return to their homes tomorrow.
