An boat engine overheated at Mechanics Bay, Auckland, this morning, leading to a fire service call-out.
Emergency services were called to the Tamaki River about 10.30am after reports a boat was on fire.
A Fire and Emergency spokesman said crews were taken to the boat - still on the water
- and found the vessel involved had had an overheated engine.
The spokesman said there may have a been some smoke as a result, but crews were stood down by about 11am.
