Orewa sex case remand

A 29-year-old Orewa man appeared briefly in the North Shore District Court yesterday on two charges of sexual violation and one of aggravated robbery.

Clint Nepia entered no plea and was remanded in custody to April 23.

It is alleged he dragged a Japanese woman who speaks little English into Maygrove Park, Orewa, where she was sexually assaulted about 9pm on March 20.

A charge of aggravated robbery was laid after he allegedly stole $10 from his victim while brandishing a knife.
