Open Country Dairy require two permanent staff to work in their powder plant at their Waharoa site (5 minutes north of Matamata)
These roles are responsible for the operation of the plant to ensure all company standards and objectives are met with regard to quality, cost, availability, yields, safety and environmental issues.
Dryer/Process Operator
Key tasks include:
* The operation and management of the milk powder process which includes the evaporator and powder dryer
* In-process sampling ensuring product specifications are met
* Management of effluent and air emissions
* Housekeeping audits
* Plant cleaning
* General plant duties and other tasks as required.
Packing Operato
Key tasks include:
? The operation and management of the powder packing and palletising
? Warehouse management
? Lactose debagging
? Plant cleaning
? Forklift driving (licence required)
? General plant duties and other tasks as required.
The successful applicants will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, mechanical and process attitude, be a proactive team member with a can-do attitude and have the ability to follow instructions effectively. A strong emphasis on health and safety is a must.
Prior experience in milk processing plants would be advantageous.
