Online e-minister for Christmas questions

Answers to pressing Christmas questions can now be answered online by an e-minister on the new Presbyterian Church website launched today.

The service is believed to be the first of its kind in New Zealand.

People could email the e-minister, a net-savvy Presbyterian minister with questions about life, faith and the Church.

There are four e-ministers, two men and two women from both North and South Islands.

"Through e-minister we are providing a friendly confidential way to engage with the Church," spokesman Richard Mr Davis said.

Users could expect a reply within 48 hours.

The service may appeal to people unable or unwilling to contact a minister in person, or who are away from home.
