One person seriously injured after truck collides with car in Christchurch

One person is seriously injured after a truck collided with a car in Sydenham, Christchurch, this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the crash at the intersection of Brougham St and Gasson St just after 7pm this evening.

Traffic came to a halt briefly after the crash due to the blocked intersection, but is now flowing freely.

Traffic management is still in place and caution is advised for motorists in the area.
