Save One person has died in a two-vehicle crash in Templeton, Christchurch, this morning.
Canterbury Police said the 64-year-old driver and sole occupant of a red Mazda Eunos was confirmed as deceased at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle, a silver Nissan Sunny, has been taken to hospital with
moderate injuries.
The crash occurred on State Highway 73, or West Coast Rd, a short distance west of the intersection with Miners Rd shortly after 7.30am.
Police said witnesses had reported the two vehicles collided as the Mazda attempted to perform a U-turn.
