One person dies at a Waikato high school

A woman has died at a Waikato high school.

The 50-year-old woman died at Ngaruawahia High School around midday due to medical reasons.

Paramedics and police attended the incident.

St John spokesperson Mark Tregoweth said there were no suspicious circumstances around the death.

"We attended a medical incident and we didn't transport anybody from there."

The school declined to comment as family were still being notified.
