One person dead after two-car crash on Botany Rd in east Auckland

One person has died after two cars collided in east Auckland.

A Fire and Emergency spokesman said they were called to the crash at 1.15pm on Botany Rd in Golflands.

The Serious Crash Unit investigation is currently underway.

A St John spokeswoman said they treated two people at the scene, one with moderate injuries and one with minor injuries.

Police have now reopened Botany Rd in Golflands, Auckland at 4.30pm.

Cordons were in place on Botany Rd at Millhouse Dr and Golfland Dr.

The fatal crash takes this year's road toll to 110, up from 95 at the same time last year.
